Sponsor Account Manager
Neighborhood Press LLC publishes ten free local email newsletters for Seattle and the Eastside, the Dispatches, read every Thursday by thousands of neighbors. Local businesses sponsor them. Our team finds those businesses and starts the conversation; you turn the interested ones into sponsors and keep them coming back.
What you do
- Call every business that answered us, the same day. Owners who replied, asked a question or held a Thursday hear a real person within hours.
- Call the best fits from our daily outreach. We write to 40 local businesses a day. Within two days you call the 10 to 15 most promising.
- Close at the published price. Agree the placement and the start date; our team sends the invoice and the proof.
- Keep every sponsor you sign. A results call after each placement, a monthly check-in, the renewal conversation three weeks before a term ends, and the move from one issue to an annual partnership.
- Take the calls from sponsors who want to talk to someone, before, during or after they buy.
Who you are
- Spoken English a US business owner would not notice on the phone. You record a short voice sample with the application, and it is the first thing we listen to.
- Two or more years of outbound sales or account management for US customers: B2B telesales, small-business advertising or listing sales, software account management, a retention or save desk.
- You have owned a book of accounts and can tell us what you renewed or upsold.
- You read results (opens, clicks, replies) and explain them to an owner as what it did for their business.
- You keep clean notes in a CRM and work from a daily list without reminders.
- You live in El Salvador, can hold 8 AM to 5 PM Pacific time Monday to Friday, and have a backup internet connection.
If you grew up in the United States and now live in El Salvador, you already sound like the owners you would be calling. We especially want to hear from you.
Pay
- Base pay $1,100 to $1,400 USD a month, set by experience, 40 hours a week, paid through Deel.
- 10% of first-year paid revenue on every sponsor you close, and 5% of every renewal on your book.
- A $300 bonus each quarter your book renews at 70% or better.
- Typical total pay grows from about $1,700 a month in the first months to about $4,000 a month as the newsletters grow.
- A $300 equipment budget and $50 a month toward your internet.
How hiring works
- Apply below with your recording and the written exercise. Every application is reviewed within a day and every applicant gets a decision.
- A 45-minute video interview on Google Meet: two short role-play calls and your track record.
- A reference check with a previous US-facing employer.
- A two-hour paid trial on real calls, then the offer.
We hire on the recording, the exercise, your track record and the trial. Every qualified applicant is considered equally.
